Time and Again…

Time and again I ask myself, Is this worth it,
Time and again I ask myself, why make a fool of yourself,
Time and again I repeat the same mistake with my heart,
Time and again, I hurt myself and my heart like a fool.

Love beckons from unknown sources, but no,
Alas, my heart seeks the known hurt and pain,
Like a fool, I end up at the same doorstep,
Where, I know, this will never last a lifetime.

Why does this happen, I wonder?
Why is unattainable, so alluring?
Why the heart wants, what it can’t get?
Why do I induce so much pain for myself?

Am I my own enemy, I wonder,
For no one hurts me, like I hurt myself,
I always seek what I can’t get, ending up with,
A scarred heart and one more frozen memory.

    Enjoyed reading the poetry by crying continuously …don’t ask in detail…as to how both are possible simultaneously ?

    I want a straight answer from the creator of this post.

    1.Why this particular poetess wants all of us to cry ? ( I think I am in a crying mode ever since I started enjoying the prowess of the poetry of this extraordinary poetess of modern times). Is it because the poetess is able to make the readers immerse themselves in the feelings ?

    2.When is this particular character in all of these wonderful poetry so far the creator has posted…..going to have happy face ?

    3. The author of all these poetry ….can be a bit considerate to this main character (in all the poetry ) and even help finding the soulmate.

    Hi Ana I wrote the above on a lighter note ……..not to take a serious note….now a days I started really enjoying your poetry and the beautiful paintings/photos based on the essence of the story line.

    1. Oh My…My..You had me till the last of this response, open mouthed…
      This is one of the few responses which took my breath away …
      I feel blessed to have some one become this emotional while reading my humble words. .
      And Sri, I am honoured when you…. a prose preferer, choose to prefer my poems over my prose… I am delighted that they engross you so much.
      But making my readers become emotional every time they read my work is not my intention at all. So I have written something on a positive note and a positive change which happened to the character I have created in my poems. After all it’s Valentine’s Day isn’t it. Thought ….will just concentrate on the topic of the day….Love. Hope.you enjoy it and only relish ” Mystique Love” with a smile on your face. Sri… Smile should be the only emotion I need to see on your face today when you enjoy it…

My very first sentence and last sentence says I enjoyed reading your poetry.Deciding to read your poetry alone brought lot of smiles on me since I never in my life for a second…. thought of going through anybodys’ poetry.How one can change over the time.!…Change is the way of Life…How true!

    1. Moonji ku nera pugazhadhe Chirpy… .A wise man has told. Jokes apart.. .appreciate your emotional feelings gelling together with mine…a rare appreciation from a reader to feel personal about the writing. This shows you have a compassionate heart towards the people you care about… which is a good trait for a good soul. So Chirpy keep continuing to be the good soul you are.

      1. I expected such clever & a true reply😂, bt everytime when I read ur writings Im at loss of words, u always write something that touches r hearts and makes us think.
        People like u aren’t easily available nowadays that can create magic.
        One thing is that u r very talented… U should maybe write a book or fr some newspaper or something more recognized than on WP.
