Colourless Hues

Let me tell you a tale, oh ye who listen,
About a butterfly who sold her colours,
To fulfill her dreams, a dream she believed in,
The echo she created outlasted her breath.

But alas, what she did, drain her out of her charm,
For the world crushed her dreams like a dead flower,
The flower too looked drained and colourless,
Like her and her crushed dreams.

But the stream inside her mind,
Still sang a song for every tiny reason,
She found happiness in that tiny reason,
And that made her smile in every season.

Among all the hues and cries, she thrived,
Among the dust and the ashes she rose,
If ever you see a butterfly without the colour,
Remember my friend this tale and her crushed dreams.

Well... me... I love to read, write, binge watch tons of movies and series and enjoys good music. Educated enough to enlighten a few things to a few some who shows the interest to listen. Love to explore the unknown territories, to know and understand more. Now busy learning to unlearn. This is me in a nutshell.

  1. Wow! That’s what comes first to mind for all of us, if it’s not wrong to speak others as well. The most beautiful poem you have written and also beautiful colourful pictures to go with it or rather to complete it.
Keep reaching stars with your work. And inspire many to reach for the stars as well.
    Job well Done.

I mean you can do so great when it comes to playing w words in regards to nature.
    Truly outstanding there!
Also Anamika don’t get me wrong but some recent event has triggered you to write this? ‘As I believe in ‘Sharing is Healing Theory’ just was worried for you!

    1. Thanks so much Piyush. For all these words of kindness and appreciation. Most of the works of writer’s are a personal reflection or something they have observed and moved them much in their heart which reflects in their work. It’s kind of a catharsis process, like how you said, sharing is healing kind. Thanks for all the care u bestow. And tons of thanks for ur support and your words.
