The Wild Eyes

Oh, this pain, this everlasting pain, feels like an eternal soulmate,
I want to break free from this lifelong palmate,
I sigh, a long sigh as the sea gulls screech,
As I watch the stars above shining, out of my reach.

Oh , my pain so perpetual, and my wound,
So incurable, which refuses to be healed,
Oh for a soothing reliable stream I waited,
For words that gives my heart the joy I need.

I have been searching for a trail to follow each day,
I am not the only traveller, who has lost the way,
I had none of you and some of you in disguise,
And most of all I am haunted by your wild eyes.

I wail in distress, for I find comfort in my sorrow,
My heart is faint in me, still i live in time borrow,
Truly, in vain went my distress, a hope forsaken,
Like a stream I still flow in search of my heaven.

Uhmm! What do I say abt myself. Love to read, write, watch tons of movies and loves music. Educated enough to enlighten a few things to a few some who shows the interest to listen. This is me in a nutshell. Will let out little by little, like the cat out of the bag. Ok I think it's time to let out one more passion of mine, which I as much love as writing, and that is cooking. Trying out different new recipies with a slight variation added of mine makes my culinary skills a little adventurous cuisine.

  2. When we are feeling shunned, when our need for love and
identity is not being adequately met we feel lonely .Parents can feel
lonely, when their children leave home for their careers,
A successful man can feel lonely at the top for he has lots
of followers but few friends to confide in, a young man can
feel lonely because though he is working hard, the results
are not showing, a housewife can be lonely because her
family members are engrossed in their routine and she
doesn’t get the required attention. Each person is on a different plateau of loneliness.
    What’s your reason?..
From writing cheerful and remarkable poems as an optimistic $oul
You have baptized yourself into a
“Dukhi aatma” and “Premchanda version of poems”
    Why $o?????

    1. It’s sad that you feel so. How’re you nagaraj?
Every writer has to touch base with all possible reach, only then one is called versatile. I hope you understand that. Only then it’s called hues of colours.

      1. This is not some board exams where you have to touch every part of a syllabus. She was a remarkable source of optimism in her poems but nowadays most of her poems are like 😥😣😪😪.
Be a Gem at something like Lord Byron for Nature ,Premchanda for India ground realities rather than being a Porridge where you r trying your hands at everything and partially succeeding at everything.

        Ok ! Here it is
        Remarkable piece of literature.

  3. Thanks for your outright appreciation. It’s not an education for speciality, as you’ve said yourself. I’m glad that you’re open to literature as speciality in one field. And I’m open to literature as literature is open to writers. I understand your interest in literature but I’m for the interest of literature on us, on people, not singular character. As life is always, part of literature and writer, as it is the singular factor that influence literature . I’m glad to share your interest. Thanks again.

      1. Oho…Priya, that’s sad. Was it your last molar tooth, that which is called as wisdom tooth? Was it impacted ? How are you feeling now? Hope it is better and you are back in action dear. Take care.

      2. Oh come on, you are my friend Priya…idhukku edhukku thanks. Was the tooth impacted and was a trouble to you? . Ya it does take time for that one to heal. Have they sutured up the wound, or left it for natural healing? Be careful not to keep touching with your tongue. Is your mouth opening fair enough?

  4. I like poets, I can’t write even one poetic line. This poems feels as if written directly from the heart. By the way, I am also a traveller who has lost his way. Did you experience it or imagination 😂?

    1. Oh there you are…I see you already came visiting , thank you first and foremost ,I am truly honoured.
Well I am glad you enjoy poems. That’s ok, you needn’t necessarily be a poet to enjoy a poem.
Now to your question as to whether I experienced it ,I would say a poem is the heart’s language. …and unless one feels the emotion it cannot be put sincerely into words.
Prose is altogether a different story . Glad to meet you fellow traveller.
      Hope I clarified your doubt.

      1. We’re going fine. Dad’s better at walking, and is more alert and involved (he was instructing us a couple days ago on how to fix something with the solar panels – something he wouldn’t have been able to do a little while ago. He still gets sick fairly often (vomiting). It feels like there’s no progress, although I know I shouldn’t think that. Trying to stay sane, I guess (LOL).
