Long Lost Love

Dear fellow bloggers and readers, this poem is a collaboration effort with a dear friend and author Alien Poet

This is our third attempt at a collaborative poem together, the first one ‘The bountiful nature ’, the second ‘A letter from the battlefield‘  being welcomed and received so well by all. This time the topic was decided as ‘Mutual Break up’. Mutual or not breakups are tough. We have tried to reflect the pain and agony both the parties involved, goes through, in this poem. Hope you readers will like this collaboration too.

Long LostLove….A mutual breakup.

Anamika:

When there is nothing else to say,
I knew I could not ask you to stay,
This break up has been emotional and long,
But, don’t feel sorry, for you know I am strong.

Alien Poet:

Fate never wins over us,
Won the hurdles that hindered,
Some write stories to live,
We lived to write a story,
That to recite to our grandchildren.

Anamika:
Deep inside, somewhere it still hurt,
I guess we both knew we are growing apart,
When days went without your text,
Somewhere we knew what was coming next.

Alien Poet:

Remember, we not expected a cut,
What I am left without a heart,
I want to live with those memories,
Till you take another birth,
Let’s get hurt much like a tattoo,
To write to the world that we loved.

Anamika:

You were my heart and soul,
You always, made me happy and whole,
All things good comes to an end,
Even the most precious gift God send.

Well... me... I love to read, write, binge watch tons of movies and series and enjoys good music. Educated enough to enlighten a few things to a few some who shows the interest to listen. Love to explore the unknown territories, to know and understand more. Now busy learning to unlearn. This is me in a nutshell.

    1. Thank you so much Aquib from both AP and me for the appreciation. Yes brealups are bitter and we have tried to reflect how painful it is yet the acceptance that the relationship has reached it’s end makes the parting a bit less dramatic. Thank you for dropping by Aquib. Hope everything is good for you.

  1. Some| loves us. We care for the other Someone. That someone loves another Someone.
If you thought this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention.
We often understimate the value of them who are easily available for us – All time.
    Aren’t we ????…….
Actually this is a marvelous cycle of Love defoliation that spares none.
Pay attention to your Some| and your life will be a fairy tale.
    Love isn’t a pit.
Love is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb; they cling to the real or the gods or love.
Love resides where you believe it resides. It’s a trick; a shadow on the wall.
All good things do come to an end except Goodness preservered in our heart . Use this as a Projector and then
    Thou shall See
Everything and Everyone is Marvellous in someway or other.

  3. An agonizing feeling there… You know Anamika and Sigmund, parting ways is like taking out shadow from one’s body…irresistible. The way you’ve wrote ‘Lets get hurt much like a tattoo’ omg that’s heart wrenching…literally gave me goosebumps..
You know I have a few friends with whom I need to have a talk eve day in-order to speak out my shit and listen to their life and there have been days where as you said there’s hardly a text and it’s so edgy and you just feel knocking their door and speaking it all out…brilliant as usual Anamika ji… aaise he roshni failate rahiye..

  4. There is a typographic error in the spelling of second.

    Anamika, you lines where great…
The other poet too… Only that you spoke in breakup terms, while he wasn’t sure of what goes next.. Lovely poem

  5. That was very nice. Two different style, coming together to talk about separation. One heavy with forecast of hidden pain while other hurting but open to think about it in and as past experience. Two different generations of thoughts, one frank but festering and other hurting but in the learning curve.

      1. Yes dear her name is Anamika; We so wanted to be together and I needed time however her parents wanted her not to waste it, waiting. Anyways you know what, she too took to writing after her marriage. She writes blogs. I do read them and the best part is we are still talking and in good terms. I am thankful to the almighty for this at least. Not every relationship ends on a good note and people often lose contact with each other as it is painful.

      2. Indeed it is a happy feeling to be still in touch with someone you loved so dearly. And it’s a blessing to be on a friendly terms too. Happy endings are not everyone I agree but we remain happy with each other is definitely in our hands. Appreciate the time you took to share your beautiful transition. May you remain happy and may God bless you always. Take care of yourself Pratik…
