Three Day Quote Challenge: Day 1

IMG_201805124_013244

I have been nominated by “Cascades of Happines ”. You can read all her post at https://cascadesofhappiness.wordpress.com Thank you so much for choosing me for this! Your blog is a delight to read. With a wide coverage, its one of the finest I have come across. Being an Associate Professor in English, and being somebody who has presented her papers in many universities outside India, her command over the language is remarkable throughout all her posts.

Now I have to post a quote for consecutive three days and explain why the quote appeals to me.

So, this first quote I have chosen is very simple and self explanatory, yet I would like to  tell it in my style. It just says who ever treats you bad or does wrong to you in your life, thank them, for all those negative things can make you more stronger, if you struggle hard enough you can rise above all the negativities just like the Phoenix bird rising up from the ashes.

This is one of my favourite quotes probably because I relate to it more personally.

The rules for this challenge are;

♥ Thank the person who nominated you.

Post a quote for 3 days, and explain why it appeals to you.

Nominate bloggers each day!

So, my nominees are:

Uhmm! What do I say abt myself. Love to read, write, watch tons of movies and loves music. Educated enough to enlighten a few things to a few some who shows the interest to listen. This is me in a nutshell. Will let out little by little, like the cat out of the bag. Ok I think it's time to let out one more passion of mine, which I as much love as writing, and that is cooking. Trying out different new recipies with a slight variation added of mine makes my culinary skills a little adventurous cuisine.

      2. Hi,Ana completed watching the movie Fiddler on the roof,at a stretch,a feat as far as I am concerned( its a three hour movie ) and loved the story line, the actors who lived in the characters,be the father, the tailor, the butcher, even the match maker. The introduction song’the tradition’ was inspiring. The best part as the father says,he simply follows the tradition, and himself not sure of its origin, this made me think….don’t people kill each other in the name of religion, tradition etc, when nobody sure of the origin of traditions! I am not an expert on these subjects so I don’t know.Since you are a well read professor of any subject on the earth you tell the valid reasons behind the traditions.Just food for thought on Sunday if your time permits.
Recommendation of 4movies confirms one more thing about the Royal taste who has to belong to a Royal family of a very high caliber and gifted too.
Oh,let me take a breath, since this is such a long reply…..yes ,I finished taking breath and can continue…..waiting for next Royal Treat….

      3. Sri..one good thing I noticed in you since our friendship started is that from a person who hardly replied or talked (as the feedback comments only which I can see), you have matured into a smooth talker … ooph…you can almost drown me in your buttering… baap re baap Amul butter ye wholesale e vaangi vechittingla?
Uhm quite a feat that you could see it in a stretch. I had almost forgotten it was 3 hours movie like our indian ones…..
But a lovely movie na …even i had enjoyed every bit of the movie including the tradition song, matchmaker……matchmaker make a match song, and when the husband asks his wife does she love him after 5 children, she broods over the question with a song. ..appappa what a movie….they don’t make movies like that any more. Btw….when I am saying this I am assuming you have seen “The sound of Music”, if not please watch that too..you will enjoy frame by frame…again it’s a musical movie and pretty long for an English movie just like our Indian movie.
This is a bonus recommendation considering the fact I don’t knw if you have seen it or not.
This week I am planning to introduce you to a new genre…in fact my favourite. Crime thriller.
Movie’s name is ” The silence of the Lamb’. State of art acting by Anthony Hopkins and Judie Foster. Must watch. ..and I am sure you will get addicted to this genre…once you are addicted to this genre I will feed you movies one by one… only the best.
This movie shows the result of a physician (Psychiatrist) turning to become a psychopath killer….. Look out for the tremendous acting by the Anthony Hopkins who is doing the role of Dr. Hannibal Lectar.
Uhmm as to whether i agree to people fighting over in the name of religion and tradition. Tradition was made by our fore fathers.for a smooth running life not to kill each other over it. If tradition is not fitting in then change the rules, make new ones for the current generation. But which gives us happiness and stability can be followed and throw away the useless ones like how we did away with Sati..widow remarriage, child marriage etc…these were made in the name of tradition just to rule over woman.
And as far as religion is concerned, no religion teaches us to hate each other, infact all of them teaches us to love one another…. then why in the world they fight over each others religion I wonder. When God can love all of us impartially then why can’t we….
Oof….I didn’t realise I typed so much. No wonder my mother calls me vaayadi….nalla vele you wear not sitting in front of me and listening to me. Unga kaadhilendhu blood vara alavukku naan pesitte..

Generally they say so but many of the south Indians are broad minded . I have had brahmin friends who never flinched to sit beside me and eat even if i was having non veg and they veg items. Kya karun bachpan se judi aadhat hein ye…so much so ki egg is considered as eggeterian and not nonveg.
But when in north it’s a total different story all together, there all non vegeterians too will be forced to have mostly veggies….thank God, you are born broad minded .

      13. Family physician..? cause to my little knowledge they are the one who leads us to specialities infact we trust them more and only goes as per their recommended specialist. And they knw our complete history which can help the speciality physician in analysing our case history and line of treatment. Am I anywhere near in my guess…i mean is it hot or cold? Hot maane very close to the truth and cold maane very far away from the right answer and if it the bull’s eye…then bingo it means I am right.

      1. This sentence of yours suddenly reminded me of a MLTR song and thought to make that tdy’s deal song for you.
        MLTR – The Actor.
It’s a beautiful melodious song fit to be heard on a sunday and the lyrics are very humble yet very straightforward. Hope you enjoy it.

      2. Sometimes we just see what we want to see not the actuality or the fact like the others see. So in that sense probably she saw the rich pampering guy as her care taker. And felt secured with him rather than the hard struggling singer. But it’s sure a mistake and she will realise it…hope it won’t be too late.
My tdy’s deal for you is
Jim Brickman’s “The Gift”. Beautiful and meaningful lyrics. Hope u will like it.

Its very difficult to ignore your recommendations.( they are like weeds-a present generation dialogue).I think I am boring people a lot of-late.
