Far beyond the pines….

I saw a place far beyond the pines,
A stream running through the vines,
Beloved place, it seemed from far across,
To my view from this side of the pines.

I wondered about the people who lived across,
As this side of the life was not much to appraise,
Wondering whether, was all at ease there,
Where I saw beyond the pines and the stream so clear.

What would it be, for the those who lived beyond?
Would the day start just like us or is it crisp and sunny dawned?
Will the children play near the stream in the twilight,
Like the firefly that shine so bright as the nights skylight.  IMG-20180323-WA0002

Oh! What I would not do, to just get a glance across those pines,
To relish the glory, so rare this side of lanes,
Life beckons me, from far across the pines,
Even If only for a while, in whose memory I will live the life rest of mine. IMG-20180323-WA0007.jpg

The sunlight streaming through the pines,
The glare makes me to squeeze shut my eyes,
The momentary dream of walking through the pine,
Silence around me drowning the stream’s flowing so fine.

This hallucination so fine of a momentary squeeze of eyes shut,
Remained in my memory so etched,
Life went on this side of the pines,
And my escapade to those land across the pines
Made my life worthy enough to live through my pains.

Uhmm! What do I say abt myself. Love to read, write, watch tons of movies and loves music. Educated enough to enlighten a few things to a few some who shows the interest to listen. This is me in a nutshell. Will let out little by little, like the cat out of the bag. Ok I think it's time to let out one more passion of mine, which I as much love as writing, and that is cooking. Trying out different new recipies with a slight variation added of mine makes my culinary skills a little adventurous cuisine.

    1. Thank you Shreya. These imagery helps to convey what i want to say in a more picturesque and simple way to the readers. Thus it makes a light reading and the reader gets a feel of what I say thru the poem. Glad u liked it.

    1. Haha😁. Glad u liked it Shreya. If somebody pays a dime for all our thoughts and our scribbles, guess we all would be tax payers by now , 😉. What say u? Seriously is there even a career in literature any more in this world of social media? I wonder. But thanks for the encouragment Shreya☺

      1. Oh! Haha 😂😂😂
You are r right but we still can’t deny the fact that full time writers exist who earn a living through writing. You wanna me to give some examples?
        Okay then hear:-
Cheaten Bhagat, Durjoy Dutta, Harper Lee, future Anamika and so on.😂😂😂
I hope you got it or if not I guess I’m not too good at explaining😂😂😂
